	stocking 55
napower05 Hobbyist Posts: 88 Votes: 0 Registered: 05-Oct-2004	55 gallon tank up and running just don't know what i want to put in it?? i like the texas cichlids...green terrors... and other ideas?? i know with the fish of that size i could only but mayb 2 fish in the tank.....and i already have dempseys there sweet fish but want something else...and no oscars... will be thankful for any help

Jason_R_S Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001	if you like green terrors you might give blue acaras a shot. they don't get as big and look very similar but don't have the same aggression. another really cool fish for a 55 is a salvini. these guys (often called mini-trimacs) look really cool when they get bigger and is probably what I'd go with. that or some firemouths. also, if you like texas I'd go with carpintis...similar look but are supposed to not get quite as big. napower05 Hobbyist Posts: 88 Votes: 0 Registered: 05-Oct-2004	yea i have seen the carpinte (however u spell it lol) but i don't know where u live but im in PA and there to common at the fish stores around here.....the only place i seen them is this big fish store in lancaster ...suppose to be like one of the biggest fish stores around...but thats like 2 hours from me so.......lol
