jase101![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Big Fish Posts: 345 Kudos: 273 Votes: 1 Registered: 06-Jul-2004 ![]() ![]() | been doing a lot of reading on keeping blue rams - i keep rummies, pencilfish, royal whiptails and sterbai cories, i know those are fine, though the cories may irritate the rams if breeding, but i also have a school of 9 black phantoms, and i'm wondering if anyone can see a problem with them and the rams? it's a six-foot tank, 80 g, heavily planted, driftwood, etc, and i'm planning on introducing just one pair of rams. any thoughts appreciated. thanks! |

Yes black skirts can be nippy, but rams have an ever so slight edge to them and will head butt any black skirt that tries to bother them ![]() In case you need the info and wanted to pick the sex of your rams, males have extended rays on their dorsal fin behind their head and females have a pinkish belly. Yes the Black Phantoms are fin nippers, but the Ramirezi wouldn't get hurt, as they will fight back.
