Would keyholes and flag acaras (Laetacara curviceps) be good tankmates or not? I have an unsexed pair of keyholes, and saw the acaras at a lfs the other day, thought they looked interesting. Just throwing around ideas (again ).

Both of those cichlids are fairly peaceful and small, so I don't think there would be a problem. Flag acaras can be somewhat territorial when breeding/fry raising has occurred, but I don't think that they would be overly aggressive. As long as the keyholes had places to hide, they'd probably do just fine.

Curviceps is a nice dwarf cichlid, and as mentioned will cause no problems when not breeding. They may get a little testy during spawning time, but space and hiding places will help. They are a little more sensitive to nitrates than Keyholes, but will not present a problem in most tanks. Best wishes for your fishes!

Sounds good to me! Not much I can add that the others havent, so...lucky you, for actually *finding* dwarf cichlids! All I can find anywhere are rams...
