They can almost reach a foot in length, and are pretty messy fish. Only fifty-five gallons of water won't be suitable to contain such a fish. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Jason_R_S Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001	if you want something texas cichlid-ish that will fit in a 55 you should check out Herichthys sp. 'Rio Salto'. they're in the same family but only grow to around 7".
