	tiger barbs ?
amico Hobbyist Posts: 112 Kudos: 138 Votes: 4 Registered: 05-Jan-2005	somebody that i know was ayin that tiger barbs are able to be in the same tank as some cichlids is this true and what are your guys experiance with mixing cichlids and tiger barbs

They make good dither fish for some larger cichlids, especially the ones that are too slow to catch up to the barbs. Many of the more aggressive cichlids just cannot get to the barbs quickly enough to do damage to them, or eat them. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

militarysnake Banned Posts: 74 Kudos: 57 Votes: 10 Registered: 20-Jan-2005	i have a small school of tigers in with 3 oscars and a jd. they are just fine but i keep them all well feed. the oscars and the jd can't catch them at all. i put them in there so when the oscars felt awnry they could chase them instead of fighting with each other
