My acara and GT spawned two days ago. It was their second attempt, the first time I don't think he went near the tank.

Anyhow, I was topping off the water just a few mintues ago and noticed the eggs are now little wigglers!!! I have never had successful breeding from fish other than livebearers

She is still guarding, which I take as a good sign that she won't eat the fry. I know this is a hybrid, but in general is there anything I should know or be doing? Approximately how long until they are free-swimming? Will mom take care of feeding them now? Anything I should know would be greatly appreciated!

I'm just so excited...it's awesome because I got to watch them spawn, took lots of pictures. Silly me :%)

edit: she is also moving some pieces of gravel into the pot, does this mean anything?

Ok I went back to check and the pot was empty, I thought I'd cry Apparently though the fry have been moved out and into the gravel.

Now another problem though. My plant order arrived today and some are for this tank. Can I safely assume all the fry are in that same area and maybe plant at the other end of the tank? Or should I hold off altogether an wait?
