How about an Tilapia buttikoferi - it gets just as large as an oscar, however they are very aggressive at times so the two might not go together very well. I currently have one that is 17 years old and lives along because of his temperament. Heres a link:

I would leave the oscar alone, or add a group of 3-4" oscars to see if your current oscar can find a mate. beware though that all the 3-4" oscars may wind up dead depending on the personality of your current 7" oscar. what you have to realize is that your oscar is past maturity and will not take very well to new cichlid tankmates. basically the problem you'll have is anything that's close in size to your current oscar will be seen as a threat and most likely will be beaten or killed, and anything small enough not to be seen as a threat will probably be eaten.

I really don't think it's a good idea to keep 2 non-paired semi-aggressive to aggressive cichlids that will grow 10" or more in size in a 75 gallon tank so that would rule out the texas, green terror and especially the buttikoferi. Buttikoferis are very aggressive and pugnacious and would need a 180 or more most likely to live comfortably with another large cichlid. I saw a 14" budda at an lfs in a 300 gallon tank relentlessly attacking a 12" albino oscar.

I say go with the silver dollars, they are cool looking, tough, and fast. I have 3 silver dollars with my oscar and it works great. he rarely ever goes after them and if he does its just a little chase, never really tries to harm them. thats my opinion
