just want to know if i am the only one out there. why is it that when i think about getting fish that pair up i only want to get them as pairs. do i not know that they will breed, get a little rude with tank mates and then produce fry that i have no room for. and yet i still want pairs. am i crazy.

if you're crazy then I'm crazy right along with you. out of 20-30 cichlids that I own, there are only 2 species that I only have 1 of...Archocentrus centrarchus and Red Devil.

i think its common practice i do it cuz the female brings out the colouration in the males or in some cases such as kribs the males bring out the best colour in the females n i think it makes it more natural looking but ive wondered that to
