Ummm ... I'd love to help you with that question, but at the moment your phrasing makes it impossible. How to tell a common angel from a look-a-like common angel? How to tell a wild-type from another wild-type? How to tell wild-caught fish from wild-type fish (hint: wild caught fish will cost about 5x as much and will be sold as wild caught)?

Altums (wild) are about 2-3 times as tall as normal.

Altums aren't wild versions of normal scalare - they're P. altum. Wild P. scalare are another matter entirely. Also, isn't this rather an old post?

I just think it's been abandoned, is why I mentioned it's an older post. And writing "altum (wild)" is a little confusing since there are, of course, also plenty of wild scalare (and a few CB altums).
