katie, that is alot of fish for taht tank, yet alone breeding.

rainbows like an open tank, were the angels qwould need tall plants to breed, so that could be some problems.

i know u got some other tanks that u can use, for the angels, or use that as ur community tank, and move the others to taht, and keep the cichlids in the 55.

If you add the Angels, you'll be overstocked & to breed fish & save the fry, just put the pair in a tank on their own & they will spawn & raise the fry aswell.

would a 29 high be ok for JUST 1 angel pair? nothing else? and use a 20 gallon for fry? i have a 10 gallon fry tank right now that has 4 guppy fry and 4 betta fry, and millions of albino pond snail babys im almost ready to sell some of my albino pondiesjust gunna seperate a few i'd like to keep, throw them in a snail safe tank, and harvest their young when they r biggenough, throw them into a snail grow out tank, then sell them

will angels eat snails? i was thinking that maybe that could work as a live food for them? some of the snail fry grew up normal, and i want them out of the breeding cycle, and i know the rams will eat them, but im not sure they would keep them from multiplying....

Angels will eat some snails but they will miss some too. Your breeding tank will end up with snails which is bad. Snails love fish eggs. Mixing so many breeding fish is guranteed to get the eggs eaten from at least one species everytime.

an albino snail? never saw that b4, but the angels would work in a 29 high, BUT

how do u plan on finding a pair, unless u get a group? in that case, a group of 4 will work for some time, and after a pair has been discovered return the others, or send 'em down my way.
