Eventually, any of those fish would happily eat the guppies and harass, kill, or eat the Rosey barb. Not a good idea. But if you give us the size of the tank, maybe we can make some suggestions for appropriate cichlids.

Not an oscar unless you want to keep your guppies and your barb. The angel may be ok, but if dont mind me asking how big is the tank? But first you would want to keep a few buddies for the barb, maybe a school of 6?

Edit: Little we where posting at the same time. lol

I can tell you that they'de all be going to fishy heaven before the day is out. The two guppies i have get the occasionaly nip from my platies, never mind the fact that an oscar, midas, or angel would see those little guys as dinner. I'de say drop the idea of a midas or oscar unless you plan on doing a cichlid tank, and in that case with a midas that's all you could have in the tank. Just out of curiosity, what size tank do you have?

Angels do okay with guppies as long as the guppies aren't little. Right now I've got 4 guppies in with a pair of angels and the only time the angels bother them is when they've spawned and then just enough to chase the guppies away from the eggs.

Topher is right though, first thing is get some buddies for the barb. Schooling fish need the company of their own kind so get the same species. Then if you have room get something else.

Good luck, Mike

It needs to be a tall 20 for angels. You might consider Rams.

Since you have another thread about what cichlids to put with the guppies and barb you already have, I'm going to close this thread.
