It was an all yellow cichlid in a tank with a bunch of other juvies. I was wondering what the yellow one could be (completely yellow, no other colors) and what a black and blue striped one would be. I know this isn't much to go by. Thanks! |

They are an African rift lake mbuna, from Lake Malawi. The blue and black one is probably an mbuna as well, but there are a lot of different species that would fit that desc The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. - Oscar Wilde |

Males tend to show more black than females but the fish is 95% bright yellow and very cool. They are not as agressive as other cichlids but they are still cichlids and can be more agressive as they mature. They are said to be easy to breed mouth broaders as I may try to do myself. |

Theres alot of fish that could fit your category though. Was it in a malawi or tanganyikan tank? Blue and black was probably a demasoni or kenyi. |

Lots of possibilities with malawi cichlids! The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. - Oscar Wilde |
