They're not an uncommon mix, but I wouldn't necessarily suggest it in a 46. First, there isn't much room in that smallish tank for territory space, which is largely based on floorspace. The Clowns will probably be harassed for intruding on territory no matter where they go. Second, it'll be too small for the Clowns in the long run.

the clowns will be there only until they get to big and the labs wouldnt dare mess wuith the clowns after they get hit with the spine clowns have under there eye would they?

I have kept them no problem. I had 2 clowns and three labs in a 50 gallon. All swam where they wanted too and there were no problems

well i have a 55 gallon istead of a 46 bowfront

do clown loaches and barbs have to have meat because iam going to have this setup for sure and i dont want my labs to catch bloat so any feeding ideas are welcome
