Atlantis aquarium at lansvale should have some in store. But give them a call on 97251600 before you go.

Im sure there will be more soon. I have been told by an aquarium store owner that they are very seasonable fish and usually come in to Australian stores around summer.

hatchet fishes generally cost a lot in most places due to their inability to transport well. I recently got some marbled hatchets for 3.99 canadian each, and was amazed at their beauty! 6 of 7 survived coming to my house.

That is a pretty typical price Gomer.

The biggest rip off Ive seen were yoyo loaches for $100 each.

aquapets at bondi junction had about 100 hatchets a month ago - they get them in regularly, 8.95 each. that's for marbled, silver a dollar cheaper.

Im very dissappointed with how shops rise prices at the cost of the hobbyist expense.
It makes me think of their "good" business skills as not very good because some of the aquariums I've been to either, do not have the intention to have a long term relationship with their customers but rather are out there to make quick cash and sell their fish without actually "helping" their customers. Or just plain inexperience.
And I have seen this a lot lately.

Now quite a lot of aquariums are closing, and i wonder why.
I heard them complain about the breeders out competing them but i think this is just a load of rubbish.

It was a place called "riverside" aquariums at ....campsie I think. They had heaps and heaps of livestock there that you cant find in Australia.
