	Looking for Gudgeons-Perth, Western Australia
eilyka Small Fry Posts: 4 Kudos: 6 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-Jan-2004	I'm looking for a male Purple Spotted Gudgeon (Mogurnda mogurnda). I have three girls now, of various sizes (smallest 10cm). Recently got the little one- then 8cm- because it was supposed to be male, but now that it's bigger and fatter, I'm 99% sure it's another girl. Does anyone have or know where I can get a male at a reasonable price? I may also be interested in other gudgeons and gobies too. Thanks

Not sure on average price as I'm spoilt, & usually buy from a fish wholesaler, I used to work for. Got my little one from there and they had a hard time getting that one. Got given a Xmas present of 4 Empire gudgeons, bought from a LFS and they were marked @ $3.95 each (got discount though for buying all 4, last in tank ) & I paid $10 for a 12cm mogurnda from the wholesaler, if that helps. Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001	I found some dwarf flatheads in the feeder bin here, so i'd keep an eye on the feeder tanks during spring when they start stocking the firetails. I'll ask around down here and see what i can find I know they stock purple spotted gudgeons, but I don't know how to sex them, and shipping to Perth is an absolute nightmate. Shipping costs alone would be phenomenal as you have to air freight and through quarrantine. If i find out what wholesaler is selling them down here, you may be able to piggy-back one in on an LFS order to save the shipping costs.
