The measurements are 16x8. Doesnt matter whether its incandescent or flourescent, incandescent would be preferred though. Thanks. Not sure how to smooth the edges though, which would be ideal. Plan ahead where you want gaps for filter, heater, airlines, place for feeding (can even make a 2 part, put a couple suction cups on the front piece for easy removal at feeding time..
