I have two knight gobies which were sold to me as a fresh water species, but later I discovered that they were a brackish water fish here on fishprofiles.com; I was wondering if anyone could provide them a good home. They are two great fish with awesome personalities. They are always moving and have these beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous blue accents on their bodies and fins. They are ravenous eaters (huge appetite...love Tetra brand Baby Shrimp) and will even eat out of my fingers when i hold the food in the water! And will sometimes even jump a little ways out of the water to get food! Also, when they eat they are almost seethrough so you can somewhat see the food moving through them! As you can tell they are some of my favorite fish, but i know they will have a better life in a brackish aquarium.

I am sad to give them up so I would love to find them a good home.

I live on the north side of Chicago, in Glencoe (60022). I have never shipped and since the weather is about 8° it would make me a little nervous. Please feel free to leave me a private message on aquabid, leave a response to the post, and/or email me, My email address is hooktor@hotmail.com. Thank you so much for your willingness to help me and my little friends out!

Here is a website with what they look like and a little about them:

if i dont have to pay for shipping, i could take em i have a 10 gallon availible at the moment that has some guppy/platty fry and a male betta, there is a little bit of salt in it, so they could go there, i designed the bottom so fish on the gravel could hide easly, and fish that swim too, it is planted and has good light but it isnt too bright, eventually they could go into a 30 gallon, so what do ya think?

for a true brackish tank you need to be using marine salt....

I really keep thinking about it and with the weather the way it is i would much rather not ship...also shipping can be really expensive. Where are u located? And knight gobies do need true brackish aquariums. You can get that salt and pretty much any aquarium specialty store, most lfs'.
