Looking for some reasonably priced shellies

Would love to get a pair of meleagris, but we can't find them anywhere.

Can anyone help?

Also after a pair of brevis

hey calla, not going down the path of multis?

I'm not sure about the
reasonably priced
part but Lams at parra usually has brevis, or auburn aquariums. try giving them a call.

Also i know a guy who lives at St Marys who has brevis, not sure if he has any fry tho. he also has multis and black, blue and gold occies.

best bet would be to put a WTB on ACE.

If you were able to get meleagris you would be the envy of every shellie fan in australia!

Its taking some doing, but we are working on it. If we find them I'll let you know

Found multis and black and gold occies at Parra Aquarium (Craig and Maree have taken it over from Rod, and its shifted from killies to cichlids) and found more multies at St George. Found the brevis at Auburn, but I'm baulking at the price as the fish were small and not breeding, and although probably cheap enough I'm unsure of cichlid pricing. Seems they breed like rabbits and still sell for a ton, hard for me to get my head around

I think I'm stuck with the brevis unless I can vacate a larger tank. If I can find a large enough tank I may even go with brichardi, but then I miss out on the fun of shells! Oh the decisions! *woe-is-me pose*

Will pay a visit to Lams ASAP ta for the heads up

Brevis aren't as prolific as the others.
And the brevis at Auburn are capable of breeding at that size.

If possible, buy females from one place and males from another. Inbreeding has already started to screw our shelldwellers IMO.
