Most of my current stock consists of plecos. Queen arabesques, albino and starry ancistrus, commons, a royal, and two species of gold nugget. If anyone has a zebra I'd be willing to shell out a lot for one of those babies, as my LFS is letting them go for 90 bucks, which is a bit steep for me.

Wonders....could a nice Canadian get in on this? I dont have much right now (just some HUGE orange platys, about 10 altogether to trade), but in the future I will have some gorgeous Guppies, Platys, and definetly Angels in the future (My pair is once more cleaning the leaf, and Sneaky Pete- Ette is getting really plump once more), I also have 2 gorgeous Orange Sailfins I am trying to get some fry from. I also got some marbled hatchetfish yesterday, and I am going to do some research and see if I can breed them. They sure are cute little buggers.
I dont think shipping to Canada from USA and vice versa would much more, if any, and I know for a fact you can skip out on all duty fees if you write "GIFT" on the exclaimor tag
I would be interested in different guppies to widen my Genetic pool, and Platys as well.

Thats great. How would I pay you back for shipping?? My email is llblizzardll@yahoo.com

Oh and yea, kribs only. Angels are REALLY cheap here ($1 for a quarter size sometimes)

Oh..I just got an idea, why dont you bag up a krib, the way you would shipping, and see if it survives for however long, then we can figure out which is the best shipping route to go...4 in a bag might be too much...so I guess it might be good to experiment first.

The cooler I have to ship them in will hold 5 bags. I figure 4 fish to a bag. 6oz. of water in each bag and the cooler wieghs a pound I'm looking at 44oz. almost 3 lb.s but thats ok. The Post office say's that's $21, not too bad.

So, I can send 20 fish. Do you want all Kribs or do you want some Angels?

I figure I'll ship Monday that way I can have the fish fast for 2 days before so they don't excrete a bunch of waste into the bag.

My zip is 81401 but with the Post Office that doesn't matter, It's all the same in the continental US.

What do you think, Mike

FYI...If the price for overnight gets too high, in most cases 2 day will do.

The overnight at $17.25 sounds really reasonable and good for me. How many kribs do you think you could fit in the 2 lbs??

I think if I send the fronts, they'll be under 2 pounds. Not sure how much it costs here, if you give me your zip I can go check.

Alright, here's the scoop. Express Mail, basically overnight, from the post office is $17.85 for 2 pounds and goes up from there. Priority, usually two days, is $3.85 for the first pound and goes up from there.

I don't think express should go over $25 for what we're talking about and Priority should be under $10.

UPS is closed here until 4pm. so I didn't go there and FEDEX was going to be like $40.

I also went to see what oxygen would cost and if I lease a tank it's $42 a year. If I buy a tank it's $70 and $6.95 to refill. I'm going to check out the Pawn shops for a tank this afternoon.

Like I said I'll send extra so you can sell them to the LFS to cover some of your shipping. Let me know if you want Angels to sell or just Kribs. I've got lot's of Angels too and both my pairs are leaf cleaning.

Let's do it, Mike

I doubt you'll get $10 a piece they're only 1/2-3/4 inch long but get what you can get. If you come out ahead more power to ya. I'm loaded right now and have another batch still living with mom and dad.

I'll let you know on shipping.

Um, how much is the shipping currently? $30+??

Guessing that a krib is average $10, I guess its worth it either way..

Yes, I can sell to LFS's Thanks very much for the offer.

Hey Inko,
Do you sell to local LFSs? I could send extra Kribs and some Angels to help defray your shipping. I've pretty much got the 4 LFSs I sell to loaded at the moment. At some later trade if you're loaded with something you could return the favor.

Think about it, Mike

Haha, You looked like you were from California..

He is... He's from San Diego.

I'm going to try and breed some of the new corys I got, which are possibly a completely new, undiscribed species. Even Ian Fuller doesn't know what they are.

They are a bit young now, but I got the perfect ratio of four males and two females.

I really think this is a good idea.... Selling and/or trading fish to other members on this site.... This should truly up the chances of the survival of the fish I would think! I know I'd thought about it previously, when I had all of my platy fry.... But then never got around to checking things out - like shipping, etc. - and ended up taking them to my lfs....

I also thought about it during the period of time when this site was "down" -- Had a BEAUTIFUL, female Angelfish who had spawned once (that's how I know the sex!) who became TOO agressive towards the other female Angelfish while tending/guarding her eggs and fry.... Since I don't have the room for a tank that Angels would require, I couldn't separate them -- once again, ended up taking her to the lfs.... Now they did pay me $10.00 for her, but sold her for considerably more! (She was GORGEOUS!) But to be blunt, if I'd had an outlet to GIVE her to a proven fish keeper I would have!

Right now, I don't have anything to sell or trade --- but I'd be interested in a young, white opaque male betta... Since I lost my beloved "Ghost" a little while back, I miss his beauty....

Once again, GREAT IDEA!!!!!

I'm wondering how much the shipping will cost...I think we should figure it out first before we send some stuff out

Right now it's two 1" frontosa fry and a 2 inch? Male Brichardi.

I dont want too many kribs, maybe just 1 or 2 of each sex so I can get a pair going. Usually Kribs are $13 here

I'm in SD Ca. Woot Cali pride. Anyways, uh, I DID raise them for a while--breeding and such but once I got into high school I sort of shut down that operation. Now I'm left with one fat male.

I'm in western Colorado. How many Kribs you want? We'll give this shipping thing a try. E-mail me your address I'll ship the Kribs. If they get there okay you ship the Fronts. We each pay the shipping at our end. What do you think? I've got about 30 Kribs so don't be bashful, how many?

What are you interested in Cup o Life Noodles. I could go for a couple Starry whatchamacallits, plecos right? Do you raise them?

Let's trade! There are a couple links to articles on how to ship fish under, General Freshwater, Buying fish online.
Let's give it a try. I've got Yellow Kribensis 1/2-3/4 inches long, Marbel, Gold & Black Lace Angelfish Dime size, Mollies, assorted colors 1-1.5 inches, Swordtails Orange with a red tail outlined in black some 2 inchers some half inchers. Let's do it!

What fun we're having now, Mike
