I went in to pets mart and say a tank full of tigerbarbs or so i thought. I looked closer and there was clown loaches in there to. It was absolutly striking. There must of been fifty of each in a 10 gallon. I know they would never survive long term but that was just striking.

With aquaglow lighting, the reds/oranges and yellows stand out brilliantly. As you say, in a larger tank, it makes for an amazing display.

It would be cool to have just the 2 species in a large tank. They may even school together for a bit.

The barbs and loaches wouldn't shoal together. The barbs prefer the mid level, the clowns the bottom. To top off such a display tank, I'd suggest one/two max top level fish... deciding on them would be a problem though. Matching a complimentary coloured fish to the orange/black of the others whilst maintaining compatibility is a complex one....
Any ideas on suitable co-habitants for the tank?
