	Aggravating Danios
Bettashimp Fingerling Posts: 21 Kudos: 23 Votes: 4 Registered: 09-Aug-2004	My mom bought me some 6 zebra danios the other day for my 55g. (Well actually 4 zebras and 2 Leopard danios, but my mom or the person catching the fish new the difference) The only problem is that they keep nipping my mollies fins, there is now damage that I can see, yet, any way. I was just wondering if there is any thing that I can do to stop this aggravating behavior. [font color="#800080"] [/font]

butterschotts Small Fry Posts: 8 Kudos: 10 Votes: 0 Registered: 17-Aug-2004	Danios are very active fish that love to play with other fish. There's really nothing you can do to keep them from nipping at other fish. The best thing to do would be to separate them.

Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003	I've never noticed any nipping with my danios, and I have some in with diamond tetras with nice long fins. You could try moving them, or see if they settle down after a bit. Make sure they're being fed enough, sometimes fish don't get fed quite enough @the shop, or if they've just come from shipment they may be a tad on the hungry side. Melafix for a week or two will help with any fin damage. ^_^
