When i bought my rainbows i also got an albino rts for free. It's not a big guy..he is only 5-6cm.
Now he is in my 75g tank with mollies, danios, guppies, hoplo catfish, pleco and elephantfish. He has not been doing anything bad so far,he likes to be close to the pleco and my hoplo.
The albino is also swiming with the mollies and guppies with out doing anything to them.
So i just woundered if this albino will be very aggressive later on?
Can i keep him or should i give it back.....

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

I have a Rainbow shark that I used to have in a 20 gal tiger barb tank. He raised a little too much hell in that tank so I put him in my 55 Gal with my Convicts and other fish. He seems to be doing much better with more swimming space. The fish is now about 8cm long. You may or may not have a problem with yours depending on how your tank is set up with hiding spots and such. Mine has a bit of an attitude with some of my fish inclueding my Cons. I guess the point I am getting at is be careful and watch him. You can see the other fish in my tank if you check out my profile. Hope that helps a little!

My Albino that I used to have was alright in a 60 with a few other calmer fish, as long as you have good hiding places for the shark and keep him happy he should not bother any other fish, yet some just are plain rude and will get very uptight with the other fish depends on your shark.

In a 75 gallon it is better for him as well, aas long as you don't have to many of each of the fish you listed.

I hope I helped a bit, and keep updateing with your shark.

Give him a couple caves so that he can set up a territory, don't pay attention if he chases others from time to time, and enjoy his presence. Just out of curiosity, you said that it's an Albino Red Tail Shark? I've never seen one of those, could you post a pic of it?

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

You find so many of these around here, belive it or not it is harder to find black red tailed black sharks. I found a site for you the pic is small but you get the idea.

Here is a link for the albino red tail shark http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1171
Thanks for the replies
I dont have to many fish in my tank, these is what i got for the moment:
3 mollies+17fry
3 guppies
1 hoplo catfish
1 pleco
3 zebra danios
1 albino red tail shark
My elephantfish died yesterday
I think he died because of me putting some new stones and caves in my tank...the elephantfish is very sensitive.
The albino rts seems to like the new hiding places and he has not been a bad boy..it's the other fish who likes to chase him..
I will post some pics of the shark later today on the photo booth.
Thanks,
Robby

Unfortunately ya'll, neither of those is an Albino Red Tailed Shark. Those are both Albino Rainbow Sharks...

The first link states that it is an Albino Red Tailed Shark and even has the Latin name for an RTS, but if you look at the finnage, you'll notice that the dorsal and underneath (I believe anal) fins are red. On RTS, these fins are the body color. On Rainbow Sharks, these fins are always red...

In the second link, it even calls it an Albino Rainbow Shark. Also, the fin coloration is the same as that described above...

Now, Rainbow Sharks are nearly exact copies of RTS, and almost all information you find regarding either species applies to the other species as well. Tank size requirements, aggression, basic size, and other conditions (such as the inability to live with other members of their same species or one another) will apply to both. Rainbow sharks are most commonly sold in their albino form, which is a gorgeous form. I have an Albino Rainbow shark that is currently 3.5 years old, and I just lost my RTS last night. He was also 3.5 years old...

By the way, the size descriptions that are commonly found for these species max around 4-5", but at his time of death alst night, my RTS measured out at a hair over 7" in length. He was a beauty and will be sorely missed...

No worries about the misidentification. It's a common one...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.
