Cherry Barb Problem | |
renoharps Hobbyist Posts: 97 Kudos: 75 Votes: 5 Registered: 21-Feb-2005 | I recently purchased 3 Cherry Barbs, 1 male and 2 females. The male is constantly chasing the females and they're always in hiding. I'm wondering if this is extreme mating behavior on the males part or is this normal? I cannot imagine the females are enjoying it. Should I move him to another tank or will this behavior subside? |

I have 3 male and 3 female cherry barbs and the boys are ALWAYS after the girls. I wouldn't worry too much unless your females never come out or quit eating, etc. "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |
