Clown Barbs | |

I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they were similarly sized fish but these things are getting huge. They aren't really bad fish, just VERY active. I guess my question is, should I leave them in the 37 gal tank they are in making the tank overstocked when they finish growing or move them into my 55 gal with my Oscar Bob and run the risk that when he gets a little older and crankier than he already is, they probably won't be on the earth for very long. I can't take them to a LFS since the only localish one won't take fish period, even if I gave them away. Any suggestions? ~ Mae West |

Large, active fish like these barbs deserve as much room as they can get, even if they have to share with an oscar.] Clown barbs would be cramped in a thirty-seven gallon tank. On the plus side, they're very fast and agile, and could likely avoid the slower oscar if that tank had enough cover. |
