My danios have gone crazy! I just added 6 black neon tetras and the danios have gone crazy and keep chasing the tetras around. I think they were hungry so i fed the danios and they gobbled down all their food quickly. What should I do if they keep chasing the tetras around? I wanted to get rid of the danios, they were just to cycle my tank but now the lfs won't take them back. I just fed my cories also and the danios went for the sinking tablets too!

The Danio is a very fast moving fish that really ads life to every aquarium it's in. I can´t see any reason for not keeping them. Now of course i don´t know the size of your aquarium but it should not be a problem as both the danios and tetras are a small sized fish. I think the aggression they are showing could be a simple curiosity that will disappear after some time.
It could be good idea to feed the cory after dark as they don´t mind eating at night.

If you don't want them in there try to "donate" them to a LFS or someone else. Danios can be very nippy and play fish. It could be that are investigating the other fish. Due to their hyper-activity they could eat all day, but as suggest above don't overfeed them.

I keep 9 danios with my 10 black neons, and while there is a little bit of chasing they mostly don't bother one another. Addtionally, danios are gluttons, and will continually eat until all the food is gone. I also keep 17 cories, when I feed my fish I take a cup of water out of the tank and put some sinking pellets and flakes in the cup and let it sit a couple minutes. Then I dump a little bit of the cup all around the tank. That way everybody gets to eat.

BTW, my tank is 75 gallons.

you'll need plants and hiding places for the neons. They love real plants. And make sure you do have room for all your fish.

I agree -- this sounds like normal Danio behavior to me. I compare them to puppies -- always running around and getting into everything, and always eager to play. That's why I like having them in my tank!

Give them a few days or so to see how things work out. I always feel so bad for any new fish I had to the tank because the current ones always chase them around and nip at them. After a while though, they all start to get along and the old fish could care less about the new ones. Good luck!
