I am considering to put an angel in my 32 gallon tank, and i have 5 danios in the tank. I was just wondering if danios and a juvenille angel would go together. My danios do chase any new fish I put in the tank and but leave them alone after a while.

THey should do fine. Its great that the danios will pick on the angels for a little pit because then the angel might not bother them in the future.

I would think it would work out just fine. If the danios do pick on the angel a little bit, then i would watch that they do no do too much damage to the angel in any way to harm it. The angel after a while, will be able to hold its own.

This is similar to the Angel/Neon debate, however danios are a little bigger than neons, so this should work.

My angelfish and zebra danios get along fine. I had the zebras first and then bought the small angel later. They don't bother each other at all.

They might, and might not get along, you can chance it if you want.
I've noticed Danio's behave better, and are less nippy when there is more of them selves to pick on, and when they are well fed.

Glad its working good for you. Then danios should be able to outgrow the angelfishes mouth if you are feeding them good quality foods.

make sure they dont pick too much.

We got swordtails which nipped 5 fullgrown angles (they were only 8 years old, and we raised them from eggs)

I too have swordtails and danios with other fish. But I have observed that danios will never nip at others but the swordtails get very naughty at times even when they are added at a later stage. I am wondering what to do with this situation.

bharatk - i have noticed ime, and i dont know if this is typical, but my adult female swords tend to have an attitude problem. it seems to be especially when they are hungry and in a small tank. for this reason and others, i personally wouldnt put swordtails in anything less than 15 gallons again... I had one adult female swordtail in a 10 gallon and when I added 2 young rams she harassed the hell out of them and I had to remove her the next day. so I would say if your swords are being pushy then make sure they have plenty of room to swim, aren't too crowded, and make sure they EAT or they will be cranky.

Hi devon... I have a 30 g setup and its not so overstocked. Yesterday I re-arranged some decorations, driftwood and rocks etc. Since then the situation is much better and the swords have plenty of room + enough hiding places

Well my angel is a baby and it is no bigger than 2 inches. The neons i have wont even fit in its mouth. Everything seems fine, the angel just keeps to itself and doesn't bother any tankmates.

I have seen danios bite everything but I think it will work out. I recommend watching these two carefully.
