Just wondering what's the highest temp you've had your gold barbs @for a period of say....5-10 days. Their profile puts them @a max temp of 75F, I might want to try pushing it to 86-88F.....for a few days, and with added surface agitation via bubble wall....Opinions please .

Curious why you want the high temp? I have gold barbs but have never had the temp past more than 82-83 degrees...

I thought I had had possibly parasites. In my reading on the matter I had come across the theory that most parasites (not including ich) couldnt' really stand temps higher than 86F. Since I hadn't had meds @the time I was posting this I wanted to @least try increased temps. *shrug* . Tank is back down to 76-78ish now .

I've had Golden Barbs in temps of 32 degrees celsius (nearly 90F) over summer here for weeks on end without problems, with plenty of extra surface agitation as you've said certainly helps.
Good luck Babel
