I want to know if someone here has any knowledge of the lifespan of the Green tiger barbs?
Thanks,
Robby

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

The same as the normally-colored tiger barbs, probably between six and ten years. It depends on many factors, including water temperature, what they are fed, how clean the water is, etc. With that being so, it is hard to get an exact estimate on how long a specific barb will live.

Most that I've heard of have lived 5-7 years. I think I've heard of one guy who had a tiger barb that lived 9 years, but I would expect that they would live under friendly conditions for about 5 years...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Nobody mentioned a "red" tiger barb. Bettachris said "reg", short for "regular"; that may have confused you.

And actually, I've seen more tiger barb color variations than just the ones you mentioned. Besides those, there are black tiger barbs, "blushing" tigers (they have a red spot on each side, near each eye), and green-striped tigers. These are just the ones that I've seen with my own eyes, now. I'm sure that there are more color variations out there, and more will certainly be created.
