I was wondering if any one has heard of these? I thought they were called Chinese Suckers, but perhaps I am wrong. I saw them for sale as a Barb so I figured I would post it here. How big do they get, what biotope do they live in, and are the a community fish? Any answers would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Could it be the Hi-fin banded shark?? It's also called the chinese/asian Hi-fin banded sucker. In the wild they get to be over 3 feet long but in an aqaurium they usually get to be 1 foot. They require at least 65 gallons. They like to be schooled together if possible. They are peaceful bottom-dweller scavengers. They are classified as cyprinids.

I think the site just made this factoid up...

But yeah, this fish is usually peaceful, but unfortunately coldwater, so incompatible with nearly everything 'cept sturgeon, paddlefish, gars, Ictalurids, carp, etc. They come from the Yangtze and such rivers like that.
