Hi,
Tiger barbs are great fish but they must be kept in schools if you want to avoid fin nipping and want them to be happy. Six is the minimum number, the more the better. They get to a maximum of 2.5 inches, 2 inches being common in aquaria.
However, with your current stocking, I'm afraid there is no room for any more fish. How large is that apollo shark? If its a "Luciosoma spilopleura", it can get to 10 inches in length and will eat your small fishes once it gets big enough. With this fish and two pearls, i think you are overstocked.
Secondly, the tetras also enjoy being in schools much better than being in pairs.
I would suggest to get rid of that apollo, black and Buenos Aires tetras if possible and increase the number of serpae tetras to at least six. Then you should be able to add six green tiger barbs. (It would still be pushing the stocking limits).
And by the way, what sort of rainbows are they?

i'm not sure what the exact name the rainbows are, but they are blue in front and the other half of them are yellow...they are gorgeous!

the apollo is suppose to grow to no more then 7"

so are you saying that i have too many fish as of right now?
