I recently purchased a fish that is supposedly called an ID Shark and am trying to find some information about it. It is a very skittish fish and only comes out in the open when there is food in the tank, otherwise it constantly lays on the bottom in the same spot appearing to be dead. As a matter of fact when I purchased it it rolled over in the bag as though it were dead, and the young sales clerk actually thought it was until the store owner explained it was not. "It just likes to play dead for some reason" he said. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I assume by ID shark you mean iridescent shark.
If so that's not an aquarium fish, talk to your LFS about returning it. They grow well over two feet long and are very active fish.

Sounds like you got sold an ill fish to boot. For future reference it's often best to know about the fish your purchasing before you buy your fish . Check in our profiles section before your next visit to the LFS .
Welcome to the site .
