Ok, so they are ordinary barbs that are just showing their inbreeding a little too much, so they were relegated to the feeder tank.

$1 each.

thoughts? I know 1 is a rosy barb, but what is the one with 2 spots and what is the one with the thin stripes??

Hey Calla,
I think the first one is a b. pentazona.
The second one is either b. ticto or barbus odessa; they are too young to tell.

@ $ 1,- each; send me 7 of the first

The first picture looks like what is called the "banded barb" around here.

The second one looks like it could be a Barbus cumingi, too.

barbus cuminghi is very rare (at least over here).
I think you'd only know the difference when you keep them long enough to grow into adulthood.

Why don;t you try some of them, Calla?

The fish with two spots in the bottom picture looks exactly like a fish I got for free. It turned out to be very, very agressive, though -- and I ended up taking it back to the pet store.

I had decided that it was Barbus Ticto.
