is it true that putting some more fish in the tank will speed up the cycle? if so what fish to have? dainos...or what? if this isant true..what can i do that will speed up the cycling?

Yes, gold barbs are a schooling fish. They should be kept in groups of 6 or more.

It really depends on what you want. You could get 5 more gold barbs, or you could return the gold barbs to the LFS. Then you could get guppies or platies. They are colorful and active, and great fish for smaller tanks like that one.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

i asked an lfs owner and he said gold barbs get about the same length as tiger barbs

and tiger barbs cant be kept in a 10gal so i dont think golds should either

Yeah I tend to agree gold barbs probably shouldn't be in a 10 gallon tank. What about some neons ,glo lites, or possibly some white clouds or even harlequin rasboras.

The pair of cherry barbs and a small school of harlequin rasboras would look quite nice.

Nothing will speed the cycle process up for you. Adding more fish now will delay the cycle and impede your progress. What you need to do is be patient, and wait it out. After this point return the gold barb (these grow too large for a 10g), and get some other fish you like.
You can try adding some "Biospira" or "New Improved Cycle" or "Stresszyme" to you tank- this may or may not speed up your cycle.
