You could get 5 more gold barbs, or you could return the gold barbs to the LFS. Then you could get guppies or platies. They are colorful and active, and great fish for smaller tanks like that one. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |

What about some neons ,glo lites, or possibly some white clouds or even harlequin rasboras. |

Adding more fish now will delay the cycle and impede your progress. What you need to do is be patient, and wait it out. After this point return the gold barb (these grow too large for a 10g), and get some other fish you like. You can try adding some "Biospira" or "New Improved Cycle" or "Stresszyme" to you tank- this may or may not speed up your cycle.
