is there anyway to determine this from a sumatran rasbora.

when i got my harlequins, he came in the bag. he is only 1 inch and has a really dark black line in the middle half way up his body.

The ranges of both Rasbora sumatrana and Rasbora sarawakensis are compatible with that of Trigonostigma heteromorpha, however, your description most closely matches Rasbora sumatrana.

In Rasbora sarawakensis, the black stripe runs along almost the entire length of the body, instead of just the back half as in Rasbora sumatrana.

ok, on the one pic i saw their was little difference, but again the pic had didfferent sized fish. thanks
