I have a book on aquarium fish and I have come across a Spotted Rasbora (Rasbora Maculata). I am very interested in finding out a little more about them and maybe seeing if anyone has some pics of them or have kept them. I looked in FP's profiles with no luck. Thanks

I did a quick google search, as I'm not familiar with this Rasbora and just loooove harlies, and found out several things.

They are the smallest of the rasboras, reaching a mere 1". They are community fish but only with VERY peaceful and SMALL fish. And I I'm more familiar with them than I thought I was, as other common names include the Spotted rasbora, the Dwarf rasbora and Pygmy rasbora. Stupid common names. Why does there have to be so many?!

These guys, like harlies, should be kept in a school. I strongly recommend 8+ as they get stressed easily. Lots of plants and hiding places are liked.

Sexing: Males are usually thinner, with a more ounced reddish hue to the body.
Simplified: Females are plumper, and the males have better colors.

So then putting them with a couple of Angels wouldn't be a good idea. Would a school of Harly's work with a couple of Angels? If not , i'd like to put a school of very small fish in with them and I know my choices are limited. Any suggestions?
