Anyone know why My Red Tail Black Shark would be trying to swim into My filter? She keeps swimming into the output end of the filter.

I had a goldfish that did this when I had a heater malfunction. I came home to a tank that was 98F and going up. Any chance you have ammonia, nitrIte and NitrAte readings for the tank? It may also be that the water isnt' oxygenated enough, does it appear to be gasping for air?

I have no test numbers. The water is VERY oxigenated (tiny bubbles everywhere). The temp is right at 77 degrees just like she likes it. I know she likes current but this is wierd.

I've never had RTBS, so maybe someone who has will comment...but if they do like current (a number of my fish do) why not get a power head for it to play with. Depending on the tank size, a submersible powerhead will provide current, and keep the fish away from the outflow of your HOB .
