Hey,
i bought 6 tiger barbs for a 20G tank on tuesday and over the past 2 days ive noticed one of them has been picking on the rest. when i first saw it i put him in a breeding net for 1 day and then released him. it seemed 2 have solve my problem but now it has come back again. there are no other fish in the tank either. he is not the biggest there either. should i return him and get another one, there has not been any injury from what i have seen. just some nipping of the other fish and constantly chasing them all. this is my first experience with tiger barbs, and help would be appreciated.
thanks

I don't see the problem...i thought the tiger barbs are nippy..
I have 6 green tiger barbs and they sometimes chase eachother around, but thats normal for this fish.
But don't put in other fish that has long fins like guppies because they will surtently nipp that fish.
So as i see it..there is no problems.

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

agree completely.
Tigers are nippy and do chase every other fish they can find around. With tigers among each other, everything should be fine soon; they're just settling the pick order.
In every school one particular fish will become "the boss"; your school is new, so the have to determine that. The bully is just proving his worth to the others

tiger barbs are nippy alrite... they r trying to established a pecking order.. i suggest buying 2-3 more tiger barbs to decrease their aggressiveness.

they area aschooling fish, so i would try adding a few more(dont remember how many you have) if given room. if he is at a point where he can't be kept with any other fish then i would return him, but try adding more to the school so that he may claim down.
