My husband has a 30gal with 3 tiger barbs, 1 albino tiger barb, 2 green tiger barbs and we wondered if they could be put into my tank which is a 46gallon bowfront & consists of a variety of cories, tetras, & ottos:

black phantom tetras
red phantom tetras
lemon tetras
rummy nose tetras
rosaceous tetras
black & white skirt tetras
panda,trill? cories
ottos
2 pearl gouramies

Please let me know...it is a 46gal with a great amount of fake plants, caves, etc. Thank you.

No don't add Barbs with Tetras but you can add a school of Corydoras, with your Barbs but make sure you have some hiding places, so that they wouldn't be picked.

I wouldn't mix those tanks.

You could add some other Barbs to his tank- Black Ruby Barbs would go nice. As long as he keeps them in a school- they would tend to harass each other rather than go after other fish- so you could add Corys- definately no tetras except maybe Serpae Tetras. Although I have never tried that combo myself.

I would stay clear of the tetras

The 2 pearl gouramies will be fine with barbs.

Cories will also be OK, but you could also have something a little tougher like a tiger or red tail botia.

well, my lucky day: I have the same question...

What to join my rabbid tiger barbs!! ehehehe

well the gouramies and colisas seems to get well along the barbs, about the apistos i strongly disagree cose they eat to slow to be mates for the barbs...

The corys... i think it will be a HELL feeding them without leting the barbs eat the sinking tablets as well as their flakes...

I was thinking about Gold Barbs, I think they could handle the tigers... still i don't know for sure...
