Drop these names on the internet and you might get closer! good luck! |

However, you have something like five different species that this could be, daniconius being but one. It could also be leptosoma or possibly even argyrotaenia if memory serves. If you can find somewhere that hosts lots of Rasbora pics, that would be your best bet ... ![]() |

The shape is different and the fish at the LFS has no black band down its side. I will look at the other species, though. ![]() ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

How large are these fish (especially the first one)? Obviously, it's not a Pink-tailed Chalceus, as the scales don't match and you haven't mentioned any pink in its tail, but it may be a close relative...just my opinion though... As for the loach, I'd say you've got a variation, but when I Googled Cobitis taenia (a commonly related species, the Spiney Loach), I found a site with approximately 25 sub-variations of the fish, so it may take a while to determine exactly which variation... PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread. |

I have no idea about the other two, but nice looking fish anyway. ![]() [span class="edited"][Edited by solublefish 2004-07-19 16:02][/span] |

The fish featured in the photo looks as if it could reach 6 inches with ease. I'm still sticking with the big Rasboras for that one ![]() ![]() |
