	Why wont my cherry barbs spawn?
bcwcat22 Big Fish Posts: 395 Kudos: 314 Votes: 34 Registered: 16-Jul-2005	I have 3 cherry barbs in my 10 gallon with no other fish and tons of java moss. I do routine maitence (once a week water change). The barbs (2 female, 1 male) have shown all the signs of spawning, the male turned bright red and was chasing the female around but they never spawned. The male is 2 years old and the females are about 7 months old. Why arent they spawning?? "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man" Simpsons

cbcinnie Fingerling Posts: 49 Kudos: 49 Votes: 8 Registered: 10-Sep-2005	Make sure to provide them with plants so they have a place to lay the eggs. It will also "hide" the eggs so that they won't eat all the eggs.
