Well, first I would be curious how large of a tank you have as it must be MASSIVE to hold a clown knife AND a school of bala sharks...

Balas are about the most peaceful schooling fish you'll find. Their only knock is that since they get approximately 13" long full-grown, their skittish behavior results in them needing a 6' long tank to avoid them smashing into ends of the tank. They're AMAZINGLY fast and can actually injure themselves in their flashes of speed when spooked if they happen to come into contact with anything...

As for living with your "Asian Catshark" I have no idea. I had never ehard of such a fish, so I Googled the name and came up with no positive responses. Is there any way you could include either some more common names, or, what would be best, include the scientific name for the fish? A picture would also be nice, or at least a detailed description, but not required either. Once you get one or more of those requests fulfilled, we'll be able to help you with greater ease...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Yep, that would be an Irridescent Shark.

Okay, I gotta ask, what size tank do you have?

Also, Irridescent Sharks are schooling fish, so they really need to be in groups of 6+...

And the Balas should be fine with them...
