Anybody keeping black sharks? Especially interested in growth rate, how long 530L will do? Do they show aggression against other fish?

Thanks

Can't say anything about them except that they're notoriously aggressive, which is why I haven't gotten one. They're even known to kill cichlids on occasion, but otherwise are mainly kept with such aggressive fish.

They are very aggressive towards other shark species and I've found them to be less aggressive with other fish as long as they don't invade their territory. As mentioned above, cichlids are also territorial and a conflict of interests between large fish can be fatal. If you want a black shark, try and keep it with larger fish or not so many bottom dwellers.

Well... Besides growing two feet long and being very aggressive to "Like Shaped Fish theyre wonderful fish .

Just to clear up any confusion there might be for anyone, the black shark is different from the red tailed black shark.

Black Shark (Morulius chrysophekadion)
Red-Tailed Shark (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor)

A 530L (140gal) tank should be fine for keeping them as long as the tank measurements include a rather large amount of surface area. The tank needs to be rather long and wide rather than tall...

Thanks for all the info , i think i will skip having this fish and settle for a few bala sharks. I got quite much keepers info on them with search but not on black shark. The possible angry nature of this fish might be too much. I'm looking for large fishes that don't chase or eat smaller ones, bala seems to be the way to go.

Thanks again

Good choice but balas grow rapidly and will be very big. They are extremely peaceful though, even with small fish.
