ok...i was about to leave the apartment this morning after feeding the fry in the breeding net when i noliced sumthing swimming inside!!! to my surprised, it was a cherry barb swimming in the bottom...how did that cheery barb got in there when the net is silglty above the water....i didnt know that cerry barb can jump in there....the net has been in the tank for the last 6 weeks..and its the 1st time i saw a fish in there.

so, could it be...it jump in there in search of more fud??? so now, i dont know how many lil fry i have...i got 4 week old fry of 8 and another 3 day old fry of 8...the small ones im worried about...i just counted 3 or 4 this morning!!!

I think that any fish can jump a few centimeters. If it's slightly above water level, you might find other fish in the breeding net.

Maybe the Cherry Barb was chase by another fish & jumped in the net for safety.

I think that most fish can jump, mostly when frightened.

I have had my barbs jump into bags of fish while I am introducing them into a tank.

All fish can jump, I've had rosy barbs jump out from a covered tank by getting out the small part that's open in the back for the filter >.<.
I'd suggest covering the top of the breeding net with some netting.
