Or are they too messy of fish to keep in a 10 gallon tank? |

They don't produce too much waste, and they don't grow very large, so you could easily keep them in there. If you wanted, you could even add a few ottos to your tank, just to eat up any algae that you experienced. |

That doesnt give them much swimming room in a ten gallon though. I think they would prefer more room beeing such and active fish but you could keep 5 in a ten gallon pretty easy. |

Gold barbs do get big, 3-4 inches depending on what kind of "gold barb" it is. And like all barbs they do need swimming room, they may not be as active as rosys' or tiger barbs but they do need the room. ^_^ ![]() |

As Babel said some Gold Barbs can get fairly large and they need room to comfortably swim around. I have 3 Gold Barbs in my 20gallon and they're starting to grow pretty big, so i think a ten would be too small.[/font] |
