I do have the space available, would two females be better than one? Thanks. ~~ ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I've got a male and 2 albino females currently, and they are all peaceful in my 30. You might even consider a couple of males - more color, and I would bet more activity! |

They are happiest in pairs, so I'd recommend getting another female. Adding two girls might result in one being ignored, because cherry barbs don't school or shoal much. They just like to pair off and do their own thing. Sorry to hear that your barb died. ![]() |

He hides under the filter and if any one else comes near he's out there nipping them and chasing them away. Last edited by tessa38uk at 17-Nov-2004 05:34 http://www.greenspersonalprinting.com/ |

Female cherry barbs are orangish in color, almost brown. |

The females I've had tend to be off-white, tan, and a pale red, almost orange color. He kept hiding after I removed the female and wouldn't eat. Today I bought a new female and he seems quite happy, so far they've been inseparable ![]() ~~ ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |
