	silver sharks behaving strangly?
tomsparsons Small Fry Posts: 7 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 03-Sep-2004	i bought 2 silver sharks today, but since i released them all they have done is sit at the bottom of the tank breathing quite heavily.... anyone know why this might be?..... im quite concerned about them.. thanks

mariosim Enthusiast Posts: 207 Kudos: 245 Votes: 20 Registered: 28-Jul-2004	they are in the process of morphing into living f-16s. by morning, they will have doubled in length, and their constant, fast, swimming behaviour will do wonders for their tankmates' egos. princess is right- those guys get huge (i have read they are tasty when they get larger). if your tank is well oxygenated, did you acclimate them properly before releasing them into the tank? they may be just adapting to the new water conditions.

They just hid behind plants and stayed really close to each other. A few days later, they had relaxed and gotten more comfortable, and now (about 1 month later), they chase each other back and forth, and seem very happy.
