i just fed my tiger barbs a worm and first the tetras made off with it. then spot (my big barb) saw all the action and took it from every one else then he swallowed it whole!!!! is that a problem?

No not a problem barbs have teeth in their throats that grind up their food before it passes to the gut.

realy? thats cool well theres more where it came from and i also found some small white colored worms amongst them (the adults) were those babys? well if they were i got a good harvest from them]

They will love worms. I think the white worm is not an earthworm though. Your small fish will love earthworms too if you will cut them up.

you should soak earthworms in water for five minutes before you feed them to your fish so the empty themselves and thus don't transmit anything to your fish.

I thought cichlids were unique in having a pharyngeal mill (assuming thats what you were referring to) along with other fish from the suborder Percoidei. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I knew clown loaches had that trait too....i didn't know tiger barbs had that too.
