Brackish Stonefish? | |
puffer_archer Enthusiast Posts: 288 Kudos: 250 Votes: 4 Registered: 20-Jul-2004 | I was at the Aquarium Center today and they had a new brackish fish, they were calling it a Brackish Stonefish. It was about 2-3 inches without tail and jet black. Big head and listed as poisonous and growing to 10 inches. I couldn't get a scientific name from them (no one available knew) but recommended feeding was live food (ghost shrimp and small fish). And everyone said watch out they're venomous. My thoughts were they would probably do best solitary or with similar sized surface dwelling fish as they appeared to be lurkers. If they really get to ten inches, would a 55 be sufficient? Has anyone ever heard of/kept one? Even a scientific name would be helpful. Thanks for the help! |
