F8s prefer low-end BW (1.005-10), while GSPs are high-end BW (1.012-18) & SW as adults. Not to be kept together.

yea thats what i was figuring, i seen them both together in a freshwater tank together at a lfs. I asked the lady working there "aren't these fish supposed to be brackish?" and she only replyed with "they are kept at a 7.0 and they are doing fine." Talk about not knowing what your selling! And don't green spotted puffers get huge?

Duh, 7.0 is pH, not SG. They will do fine together & in FW, in a short-term holding tank. Not for long-term care though. Unfortunately, customers will see them together in FW & she'll be telling them, "As long as you keep them at 7.0 (should be 8), they'll be fine". Too bad...

GSPs grow to fat 6" monsters!

Wow so it says they can live well in a 55 gal. Question is how many can be kept in a 55 just the 2? Also i have never kept a brackish water tank before anything helpful i should know?

You can keep 2 adults in a 55g. It may seem a little empty until they grow into it though. You'll need a hrdrometer & marine salt.
