what kind of salt is best? | |
betahex Fish Addict Posts: 864 Kudos: 352 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-Jul-2001 | i have an empty 20 gallon and am interested in keeping a few bumble bee gobies and POSSIBLY (if they are compatible) a few dwarf puffers as well. I was wondering if my set up would work, and what kind of salt would you use and how much? is regular aquarium salt ok, or would i be better off buying marine salt? ANY help would be greatly appreciated |

A lot of times, they will keep them in FW, so then you can add the gobies then slowly raise the SG. If by chance they do keep them brackish, then you would just need to raise the slowly until you matched them, then add the gobies. HTH |

I used instant ocean before on the SW tank, and on the BW i switched to oceanic salt since it was smaller tank, and i must say i was impressed as how fast oceanic salt dissolved versus instant ocean, but oceanic is more expensive but since mine just 5g only couple bucks for bag. |
